Awesome food, Worst Service in town!
El Burrito Loco has possibly the best Mexican food in this part of the world. And that's very lucky for them since thier service is bar-none the worst I have ever experienced in a restaurant. I have returned to El Burrito Loca lured by thier wonderful mexican food only to have a service experience that continues to be worse each time. The are perpetually understaffed and even more so now that they have expanded. I can only assume that their staff shortage is a result of the lack of tips left by the customers. My most recent experience involved a 20 minute wait to be acknowleged by staff after we had been seated. The owner finally arrived to take our orders and we had yet to see menus. I have been told that they use some sort of mexican service paradigm and none of the staff seemed to know what was going on. We approached the hostess to order some additional beverages for us and she told us she was "only the hostess." There are signs of modern restaurant technology everywhere but it does not seem to affect the level of disorganization happening in this restaurant. The improvements to the decor with the expansion do not serve to calm customers that have waited 30 minutes or more for dessert. One of my companions ordered his entree 3 seperate times from 3 seperate servers. It finally arrived as the rest of the table was being served their desserts.
Entrees are overpriced and under-sized. Our 8.00 appetizer of guacamole was accompanied but 15 torilla chips! I know because I counted them. We were treated like an annoyance when we asked for additional chips which, incidentally, arrived well into the entree course.

If you choose to spend your hard earned money at EL Burrito Loco be prepared to wait and pay thru the nose for small portions of wonderful Mexican food.

The food had kept me coming back, but after 5 years of progressively poor service they won't recieve my patronage again.    [02 Jan 2006 20:56:34]

Awsome Food, Ok Service...
The food at El Burrito Loco is very good, some dishes are amazing. I've been there at least 40-50 times over the last couple of years. The food is always very fresh tasting and you usually get the food quick too. The taste and quality of the food is superb... not only the best Mexican I've tasted in these parts, but some of the best food period.

The price good... It's not the cheapest in town nor is it the most expensive. If you take into account the great food, El Burrito Loco does deliver a 'good value'.

The only downside to El Burrito Loco is the service. The service you get from the staff is often inadequate. Staff who don't know the menu, staff who are often slow getting you refills and/or another drink, I've often experienced mistakes on the bill and mistakes with my food order. This restaurant seams to go threw a lot of staff turnover and the lack of experience often shows in the service they deliver.

Overall, I do recommend this restaurant, while the service is not the best, it's not the worst either, and the food is amazing. So I do recommend El Burrito Loco.    [11 Mar 2006 15:16:11]
