Description The Chick was opened in 1940 by the Innes family and is reputed to be the oldest drive-in restaurant in Canada. Reviews review it add a link Show 10 | 20 | 30 | 50 reviews on each page This is an old fashioned burger joint and I love it. The food is fresh and tastes homemade, not like commercial fast food places. It's so busy, no food sits around for very long! They have many servers there so you don't have to wait long for them to take your order, unless it's peak time and especially in the summer. The only negative thing that I've heard over and over again, including myself, is that the burger buns seem to have gotten smaller, therefore the chickenburgers are smaller than ever. Mind you they pack them up high but we love them sooo much. Don't make them any smaller! [27 Sep 2005 16:33:30] Chickenburger, Bedford, Nova Scotia I do not understand why everyone raves about how fantastic the Chickenburger is! We recently moved here and tried it out based on the reviews of locals and friends. It was terrible. The chicken on the "famous" chickenburger tasted freezer burnt and it was such a teeny little sandwich for the price. The onion rings were just regular frozen onion rings you could get anywhere. The only thing that was good was the milkshake. I won't take that from them. I wouldn't recommend this place at all unless you just wanted a nice milkshake! [29 May 2007 17:57:51]
