Barely Passable.
Recently my wife and I stopped and had supper at the Irving Big Stop in Enfield. I had a 6oz. steak dinner and my wife had a turkey burger. The steak was ok except for a good chunk which was hard gristle. The carrots were very soft and had very little taste, I figure they were way overcooked. The peas were not very tasty and obviously had come out of a can, possibly of no name brand.
The turkey would have been ok except they put something they call dressing in with it which turned the turkey and bread into a somewhat mushy consistancy, instead of having dressing on the side. The other thing was, when we finished, the wait lady asked if we wanted dessert and since we didn't she went and got our bill and said we could pay her and she'd receipt us. She did not clean off the table and when we left after paying the bill, the table was still not cleaned off and our dishes and leftover gristle and turkey mush were still there . I would not go back there to eat, but it was an experience to chalk up. This resaurant could do a lot better and the fix seems to me to be an easy one Mr.or Ms. Manager.    [19 Oct 2006 12:38:42]

Steady Decline
I have been coming to this restaurant for nearly 20 years off and on, and have become a Friday night regular for the last 6-8 months. This USED to be THE place to come for a hearty (although not heart-smart), fast fix at just about any time of day. Now they are just about always serving slow, luke warm, barely recognizable food. Tonight I finally commented on it and was given the 'oh well -whatever' brush off. Very bad business to run off your regulars. Needless to say we will not be there next Friday - or for several Fridays to come - if ever again. We are 5 people - not a small table of 2 ! What a shame !!    [05 Oct 2007 18:21:22]
