Lavena's the Catch of My Day Lavena's a wonderful oasis at the end of the road before you travel to Brier Island is a must stop. Our meal was incredible from start to finish. Greek salad was crisp, huge and fresh and was large enough to be shared for two. The pan fried haddock was the best I have ever sampled. It was difficult persuading Ron my fiance to part with more... so I turned my attention to my vegetarian lunch.
The waitstaff were as warm and friendly as the lovely decor. Our experience concluded with a phantasmic old fashioned butterscotch sundae with the perfect combination of vanilla butterscotch whipped cream, nuts and a lusterous cherry. Five Forks Lavena and Staff! I'm coming back... not for the whales, for the pan fried haddock!!! Best wishes from Kimberley see you soon [21 Aug 2005 20:37:39]

Best Meal We Had In Nova Scotia. We chose Scallops (prepared in 2 ways) which were served with fresh new potatoes - no "deep-fried frozen" here - this is food that tasted like it is supposed to. Service was alright. Pie not as good as the main but probably because the main so so outstanding. [05 Sep 2006 19:32:58]
