Best Poutine Around
If you like cheese and gravy, this spot is the ticket. They have an amazing Greek Poutine, which has feta cheese instead of mozza. It is excellent. I also highly recommend the Chicago Jack pizza. The Best Pizza Ever
Alexandria's has been a fav for my friends and I since our days at university. Closely located to SMU and Dal, and open late at night, it was always a prime pick for delivery after the bars. Not only that but the food's amazing even when you're not under the influence! On a recent trip to the city, I even got my dad to try it and he loved it (a hard man to please, I might add). Great Food, Great Service
Alexandria's has got to be the best restaurant in the city for a university student. It's open really late. The food is excellent and the service is always great. Even if you have to wait for your food to be delivered, it is well worth the wait. Don't forget to tip!    [30 Apr 2005 13:09:12]

Never Buying here Again
I know you're probably not going to post this, but hear me out. I am never getting my food there again. The service was unbelievably terrible and it is my greatest wish that the manager sees this. First off, I called at exactly 12:55 PM on Saturday evening, the 16th of July and not only were there no pleases or thank-yous she did not give me a delivery time. I thought this was a bit strange but assumed it would be the normal delivery time, 30 - 40 minutes. It was over an hour and a half, so I called to see where my pizza was and she said this in exact words, "It's busy tonight; a lot of drunks need their food". Tell me this, is that how you talk to a customer?

So anyway, the pizza gets here, over an hour and a half since I placed my order, and the delivery man was extremely rude too. He passed me the pizza, I should have passed it right back seeing as it was room temperature, but I decided to just pay and get it over with. I wasn't planning on leaving a tip as I handed him the 20 dollar bill he fooled around with his wallet and handed me a 5 (he owed me 5.80$) and said in exact words "that's close enough". I'll tell you what, that is not close enough, I want my eighty cents and I want it now. I refuse to give even a tip of a penny for such terrible service. Speaking of tips, do you know what it means? No? I'll tell you:
T - to.
I - insure.
P - proper.
S - service.

If You Like It in the Raw
I used to order from this place but not any more since the last three pizzas I ordered showed up with raw dough, and I don't mean just a little bit raw. When I called them about it, the woman said that there was nothing she could do for me but that she could take my number and pass it along to the manager. I never heard from them again.

The other night when my usual place was closed, I broke down and called them since they were the only place still open. Surprise, surprise, it showed up with raw crust again.

It is really beyond me how they could have won the coast's best pizza award with such shabby pizza. Either the judges were paid off, they just didn't eat any, or they were eating pizza from Peter's Pizzaria.

I tried their poutine once too. Shabby also. And I had to wait about 20 minutes for it. It is not even real poutine. It's just fries with gravy and shredded mozzarella cheese. Real poutine is made with cheese curds.

The delivery service is the wost in the city. And I have also been victim to raw dough. The chicken wings suck, and the sauce leaves me gasping for air. Sometimes good sometimes bad
I have had good pizzas there and I have had terrible pizzas there. Price is good for two mediums but for a nearby pizza I go to Peter's pizza down the street. They cost a bit more but I get the same good pizza every time.
Plus at Alexandra's I find an odd mix of owners who don't talk to their customers and university girls who have little idea of what goes on in the kitchen. I find waiting here oddly stressful. They barely interact with the customers and have a TV that is WAY TOO LOUD!!!    [20 Jul 2007 17:26:53]
