A good bet for breakfast
The Ardmore is a charming place to have breakfast. The food is a bit bland, even for Maritime fare, but the servers are great and the atmosphere is warm and homey. This place is small so getting a seat at prime time on weekend mornings is a real challenge but fortunately the turnover is quite fast.    [07 Dec 2004 14:45:18]

Poor Service
We have enjoyed many meals at the Ardmore on Saturday mornings where the staff were absolutely super;however, we have found on a couple of occasions, service in the evening has left a lot to be desired. The culminaiton happened on Nov 10/07 where we decided to stop for a bite in the evening. The waitress who served us had a very flippant, loud, irritating manner. She forgot the soup we both had ordered, apologized offhandedly. When dessert came, I was presented with a fork to eat jello. When I questioned this, I was informed that that was the way she always ate jello. We have had an affection for the Ardmore over the years and, as I will reiterate, had excellent breakfast service from an efficient and friendly staff, but we will be leaving a gap of at least several months before we try again.    [11 Nov 2007 14:11:23]
