Best Food and Service I've Had in a Long Time I would just like to say I was very satisfied with the food, service, and even the look of the restaurant. It was my first time there and I was very pleased and overwhelmed by the color and the designs. It was unique and eye-catching. I'll defintely be returning again for another visit! Stylish Dining Overlooking Halifax's Most Vibrant Street Birmingham Grill has been a gastronomic port-of-call for me for over 8 years. Highly efficient service with excellent dishes. A stylish decor and dish presentation that is very popular with the professional crowd. I have yet to sample a dish that I didn't care for. Not the best restaurant in the city but consistent, pleasing and all for a reasonable price. [01 Feb 2004 14:43:43]

The worst customer service I have ever received I was a regular patron at this restaurant because of one of their dishes that I enjoyed, until my experience with the manager. I then wrote a letter to the owner and received no reply, and I will never return.
Along with an entree I ordered wine from the menu. The menu did not specify that it was a chardonnay and I thought it was a sauvignon blanc. When I tasted that it was a chardonnay I had a discussion with the waiter and he said he would bring me a glass of sauvignon blanc instead.
He returned to say that the manager said I would have to pay for the glass of chardonnay. I was shocked by this response and told the waiter that if that was the case my friend and I would be leaving and that he should cancel our dinner orders. The manager then came out and told me that not only would I have to pay for the wine, but also the dinners because they were being cooked. He was extremely rude and I would have walked out then and there if it had not been for my friend, who didn’t want me to do that. We ate our meals and I was charged for the glass of wine, which I did not drink. The waiter apologized for the situation and gave us each a 20% discount on our bill. He said he felt very bad and it was the only thing he could do. It was an extremely unpleasant experience. [09 Jun 2005 11:30:27]
