Waiter @ Mr Chang's Suggestions I guess this isn't fair for me to review a restaurant I work at, so I'll tell you what is popular and what people come back for.
Crispy Ginger Beef - popular and one of my personal favorites. Guongdong Chow Mein - ask for the noodles soft. Kung Po Chicken - popular. Cantonese Chow Mein - for vegetarians.
I'd like to thank our loyal customers on behalf of "Mr Chang", and we look forward to serving you in the future. Thank you [10 Feb 2004 22:30:40]

Best Chinese Food Going I and my wife always pickup Chang's when in town. We live in Spryfield now and only Mandarin Kitchen comes close to great taste, but is not always open. Chang's is always open and the food is great. Been buying food there since 2000 and will continue to do so. Unlike others, fills you up and amounts of food is great we always have leftovers. Highly recommend to all. [30 Nov 2007 14:40:25]

Fan of Chang's I've been going to Mr. Chang's for about six years and I love it! My favourite dish is the crispy ginger beef, although everything I've tried is good. They make awesome egg rolls and fried wontons too. The service has always been excellent, whether dining in or taking out, and the price is great for the amount of food you get. Wonderful!! I've recently relocated back home from Toronto, and was missing some of the fab. food that was available up there. I am soo coming back to this restaurant next time I'm in Halifax.
Food Wonderful favor, huge portions. HUGE. Each dish hit the table steaming hot.
Crispy Ginger Beef. If you are a fan of this dish, you will enjoy their version. It's not dried out, pretty tasty. Not the best I've had, but decent enough.
Kung Po Chicken - this was my favorite dish we had, until the Guangdong Chow Mein dish hit the table. The Kung Po had a little spice, cashews, and was addictive. Hard to stop picking at, even after you are full.
Guangdon Chow Mein - noodles, covered with pork, chicken, shrimp, all kinds of good veggies. It really is a toss up with my family as to which dish we enjoyed more.. You can't go wrong with either.
Service Our Waitress was friendly, patient *very much needed as someone in our party couldn't make up her mind lol*, and very helpful. Totally unobtrusive - we never even noticed her refilling our water glasses. She chatted with us at the end of our meal, and knowing we had left overs, and were in a hotel, she provided us with paper plates and utensils.
Ambiance This is my favorite type of place.. small, cozy, low key decor, with amazing affordable food. If you are looking for upscale, keep going. The place is clean, quiet and comfortable. During the winter, we were even able to take off our jackets without freezing.
Other We went at 2pm, and the place was empty. Great time to try it out. Best food I've had since leaving Toronto. [23 Mar 2009 18:27:32]

Great Chinese Food I'm new to Halifax for school and I went to this restaurant and and it was fantastic, I didn't know what to order and was suggested to try Ma Bo tofu, and it was great, I highly suggest trying it, and if not try anything else, it is all great! [09 Apr 2009 14:20:37]
