I'm a frequent customer at the Outback Diner and I'd just like to say I've seen a huge improvement in the quality of the food. The service has always been excellent, the waitresses are very attentive and friendly. I've never waited a long time for my meal; it's always hot and delicious. I have to say bravo to the entire staff, keep up the good work.
P.S who is that older lady with the blonde hair who never smiles? [07 Oct 2002 13:21:44]

I drove in from Halifax last week (not busy) on a day trip down the shore... Thought I'd drop in to the Outback- I'd been here once before and the service was slow- and thought maybe they had an off day.
NOPE! I went to the counter and asked if there was all day breakfast and indeed there was...I took a seat, and waited, and waited, and waited, and waited...I read half of the Daily News and still no one came to my table. 20 minutes!! I left in anger, and will never grace the doors again! Thanks for wasting my valuable time. Cheers!!

While on an afternoon outing we happened to stop at this cafe. We seated ourselves. We waited a bit. There were only a few tables with customes. The waitress was friendly. I ordered bowl of Seafood Chowder and my partner ordered the usual Fish and Chips. We had a side of Garlic Bread with Cheese.
The food came in plenty of time. I was anticpating a wonderful bowl of chowder. I found the creaminess of the broth very good but there was more flavor of cream than any seafood. The potato chucks tasted as if they had been frozen. I was hungry so I finished my food. My partner was satifisfied with their fish and chips. They shared their Cole Slaw. Not very impressive. The coffee was good. The waitress came by once and asked how things were. And she never offered a refill on the coffee. Nor did she remove the used ware from the table or offer a dessert. We waited a bit then we had to go to the counter to get the ticket. After being ignored for a minute they finally asked what my need would be. I viewed the check with disappointment. At a total being over $25.00 I would expect a bit better food and service.
I rarely ever refuse to leave a tip. But this time I made the decision not to leave one. I don't like to do that knowig that everyone works hard for a living. [04 Sep 2006 19:22:59]
