Nice Atmosphere, Bland Food.
The house white wine was very good with lots of fruity flavor. Then they brought the fresh bread that was burnt, very noticeably black on top, we ate some that wasn’t so bad. We asked for more and were very insulted to find that the black pieces returned?! The mussels for appetizer were the best part of the meal. My wife had the trout and I had veal in Marcella sauce. The trout was OK but it did not come with any vegetables. The veal tasted like badly cooked liver (I don’t like liver) it was dry without any flavor. We were very disappointed the restaurant is usually full. My guess is that no one goes there for the food it’s just a hang out for people trying to be trendy.    [10 Sep 2003 08:32:45]

Creme Caramel To Boot.
I love Italian food. I loved Casa Verde. We'll definitely be back. The wine was quite nice and the appetizers were fantastic. I had the standard spaghetti (my opener whenever visiting an Italian joint for the first time) and was not disappointed. The sauce had a deep rich flavour and the pasta was perfectly al dente. I am an Italian from NY - parents born in Italy so I definitely have an opinion about Italian cooking. I've been to Casa Verde 6 seperate occasions from alone to a party of 10.

The food was very good. Presentation was good. Arrived piping hot from the kitchen. Portions were reasonable size and menu was very interesting.

Service was excellent. Waiter was attentive but not annoying. She was helpful in the explanations of the menu. Plates were cleared away quickly and glasses were always full. The meal proceeded completly at our pace.

The food from Casa Verde was very good compared to all the other so called Italian resturants I've been to in the area (Pickering, Ajax, Oshawa, Scarborough, etc).
Good value for the dollar. Clients loved the food. Excellent for a special occasion like an anniversary or birthday. Reservations are recommended on the weekend.    [21 Oct 2003 15:25:55]

Quite Enjoyable.
One of my clients recommended this restaurant recently, so I decided to take them there for dinner. The waiting was minimal, the service was very informative and courteous. I had a delicious Veal Marsala medallions with a side of penne and red sauce, along with a Ceasar Salad and a Tiramisu to die for, for dessert. Pretty Good
Nice romantic atmosphere in a quaint little house. Food was pretty good but you are paying for the atmosphere. Good for a birthday or anniversary with the wife. Waiters can be a little off at times.
