We first heard of this restaurant on the Food channel and just had to try it. Food was down home cooking and the pricing was very reasonable. We had excellent service and will be going back again. It was worth the trip. [26 Oct 2003 01:56:52]

Best Place Around. Great huge servings of the most delicious food made in a restraunt kitchen. You should go! [27 Mar 2005 09:42:38]

Disappointed I have been stopping there for many years on my trips North for the "home cooking" food but have noticed the gradual decline in quality. I had the turkey dinner special tonight, the turkey was thin lunch meat style slices, the "stuffing" was like a slice of bread with seasoning on it, the mash potatoes were not made on site but also brought in in bulk and reheated, and some steamed carrots. But no offers from Marj's to forgive the cost of the meal. I understand the baking is still done from scratch on site, but the quality of the hot food is headed in the wrong direction, it appears as a result of someone's decision to outsource some cooking and serve pre-prepared food service items.
