Was very enjoyable. They were very accomodating to our six year old with regards to choices and they were friendly and courteous. The food was very good. Much improved from Wellington's. I would certainly dine there again. [05 Apr 2007 17:25:26]

Wonderful Dining Experience. My wife and I enjoy fine dining and were very happy to see a new venue open close to us in Aurora. We ventured in one cold Tuesday evening around 8pm, it was very quiet, not the best of first impressions but it is new and we made allowances for this fact.
I ordered the Pate for the starter and my wife had the Crab Cakes. They were both excellent, presentation, taste, texture, it was wonderful.
Main courses were Sirloin and a Pork Schnitzel. The steak was cooked to perfection, just a shade over "blue", exactly as ordered. It was again presented on a nice hot plate with a side of potatoes and vegies. The Schnitzel was a little different to the ones we cook, it was almost in a "batter", very tasty, served with garlic mashed potatoes and vegies. Overall 9 out of 10 for both mains.
Portion size was also very generous, not huge, not small but generous.
Desert was not taken but the menu looked very impressive.
The venue is quite small and yet is big enough for the Aurora market I think. There is a private room available that looks like it would hold 30 to 40 people for functions etc.
Overall a very nice experience, good knowledgable wait staff and polite bar staff.
In closing I must mention that the pricing is very good indeed and much lower than the quality of the food would suggest. [18 Apr 2007 12:43:29]

A Mothers Day To Remember I have eaten at Bistro 171 on a few occasions since they have opened and have always been very impressed with the food and service. I decided to take my mother in for a special Mother's Day brunch. Let me tell you I was more then pleased with the quality of the food and the effeciency of the servers. They even had a nice mug made up for all the mothers to take home with some chocolates inside. A very nice touch. I will deffinatly be back. [16 May 2007 14:21:06]

Absolutely Fantastic!! I give this place 10 thumbs up! No joke! If you're in or around Aurora any time soon, this is THE place to experience. The food was OUT OF THIS WORLD - the service was second to none, and the prices are incredibly affordable!! Unbelievable experience and we'll be experiencing this place over and over again! Glad We Stopped In Was recommended by friends. Very nice decor, music in background (R&B)was a nice change from soft rock. Menu had a nice selection and found prices reasonable. Presentation was very nice and food was HOT when it arrived. Would definitely go back. [06 Jun 2007 17:36:46]

This is exactly what Aurora needed. Prompt, attentive service, stylish dining room, excellent food. I was there for dinner last Thursday and we're coming back for brunch on Saturday. It is truly exceptional dining. [07 Jun 2007 23:09:27]
