Quality Italian Dining One of our favourite restaurants, Joia offers pasta, fire-oven pizza, and a range of entrees and specials for gourmet tastes. [24 Jul 2005 21:39:51]

Poor Service, Cold Food. Service was incredibly slow and deliberately so in order to make you drink more wine. Took a half hour to get the appetizer on the table (two of finished a bottle of wine waiting). Then took 45 minutes to get a lousy plate of pasta. The whole time the waiter kept pumping us to buy another bottle of wine. Get the idea: slow down the service and boost wine sales. Told the manager I would never bring family or business associates back. Lots of much better Italian restaurants available between Newmarket and Oak Ridges. [09 Nov 2005 08:08:19]

It Was Exactly What We Were Told! Joia was recommended by good friends. We were not disappointed. The wine selections were out of this world and the pricing reasonable. We'll be back! [12 May 2006 12:52:15]

Overpriced Wine List and Noisy Restaurant. Food and service was good but one table was so loud it ruined our evening. We asked to be relocated before any wine or food was served but were refused. The wine list was extensive and expensive - a Farnese Montepuliciano that sells for $7.45 at the LCBO was $35! [26 Apr 2007 09:22:58]
