Surprisingly Good.
As a long time resident of Grimsby, I never actually stopped into Lau's. But I decided to stop by with my wife and was pleasantly surprised at the quality and quantity of food offered. I ordered the dinner for 2 and when it came out, I swear there was enough for 4, they even substituted one of their signature dishes at no charge. Not only was it delicious, it was cheap. They have a daily buffet which my wife and I will definitely try out soon. Another great touch was that this is a family owned operation and the owners seem to make it a point to come out and personally greet as many customers as possible and they seem to know all of them. What a great hidden gem. A must-stop location for chinese food if you're travelling along the wine route.    [12 Dec 2003 20:39:47]
