Disappointment This restaurant is overpriced and the service is unprofessional. There is no bread or water with your meal and the bill looks like a ticker-tape. The Fish special was overpriced - $45 dollars. The atmosphere is fine, but somewhat tacky - Roman like and you feel like you are at a wedding. I was thoroughly disappointed with this restaurant []

New Owners - Great Food! The new owners have tried hard to overcome the past and have succeeded in presenting a wonderful menu (for lunch anyway). The soups are unique and very flavourful and salads are fresh with homemade dressing. We were offered bread and water with meal as opposed to previous review. I agree the atmosphere is not my style but the big windows give a nice view to the garden and pond. Some desserts are made in house while others are brought in. Ask what is fresh that day. All meals are served on Don Zyver's pottery which is for sale next door. [20 Jun 2007 17:57:22]

Great Food And Atmosphere. My daughter and I stopped at the Troy Cafe on a day trip to St, George - Service was excellent and the food (We had quiche and a salad) was fabulous. The meal served on Donn Zyver's pottery is very unique.
The decor is really nice and especially the view of the gardens. The hollyhocks are wonderful.
Great for Lunch! [16 Jul 2007 12:33:57]

This Is A Wonderful Place To Enjoy. One of the best places I have been to in a long time. For dinner we had a filet mignon and my wife had a Beef Tenderloin medallions. I have never tasted anything so tender and done the way I like it. We started with a Pear Salad, again to die for and the Creme brulee with a hint of maple was great. We were so impressed, I have talked my daughter into having her wedding there. The gardens around the Cafe is fabulous. Only thing that I would say is the name Cafe does not do it justice, it is a true steakhouse, and in my opinion one of the best in the Hamilton area. [27 Dec 2008 22:02:31]

Mother's Day Brunch, what a disappointment. They put us by the door between three tables of 6-8 people each. They bumped our table each time to get up for food. There was nobody to greet you at the door. Our table was so big we could not talk to each other. Overpriced, won't go back. We weren't even in the restaurant. We were in the pottery store! Won't recommend this restaurant to anyone! [10 May 2009 19:17:14]

I came in with my boyfriend to celebrate our anniversary of 2 years and waited and waited. Finally when we got the only waiters attention Miki was his name no apologies complimentary anything. He took our order. The atmosphere is tacky. The food is average. The service is ridiculous. I had a piece of pie for dessert. [04 Sep 2009 16:26:44]
