Marty's Bear Den is great

The ambiance is fantastic. The annual hog roast on the weekend of the walleye opener is the highlight. If you can make it up there for that weekend, I highly recommend it. The atmosphere is very warm and friendly, and the food is terrific, be it breakfast, lunch or dinner. Had some great pig there in 2000.

The restaurant is conveniently located adjacent to Wakami Outfitters also operated by Marty and Ina, and after your meal and a couple of pops, you can gas right up, buy your bait and head out.    [17 Mar 2004 09:47:44]
