Good Food, Bad Management
I have always enjoyed Angel's Diner and the food is good, and generally so is the service. It is a diner, nothing fancy, nothing exceptional, just good.
However, on Friday September 23, I had a most unpeleasant experience at this diner, and I will never return. I orderded a child's meal for my 1 and a half year old daughter and asked for an apple juice to drink. My server rudely responded - "we don't give juice - just pop and milk". Well, I have always gotten juice with the child's meal at Angel's and I told her that. She just stood there staring blankly at me, so I asked to see the manager. Another server came to my table and flatly announced, "we don't give juice with kid's meals." I answered again that I had always been served juice, and in fact SHE had given me juice in the past. She rudely denied this and walked away. My original server returned and I ordered the apple juice and beverages for myself and my lunch guest. She then states "you know you have to pay extra for that." Yes! I get it - no free juice! So, I said, "please just stop arguing with me and get our drinks."
The next thing I know, a sweaty man in a greasy white t-shirt is at my table. He does not introduce himself, but simply begins berating me for asking for free juice and for upsetting his waitress and the other customers in the diner! What?! Is this guy nuts? I was shaking with humiliation and anger by the time this man (this smelly, greasy man) left my table.
Is that Customer Service?
