The branch restaurant is a casual restaurant, art, and music venue in Old Town Kemptville, Ontario. It is a home for well traveled comfort food and a rendezvous for global flavour and local colour. It is owned and operated by restaurant stalwarts, including an internationally practiced published chef and three servers. The branch restaurant welcomes the community to a the world with a forward thinking attitude about organic, sustainable and locally sourced foods, including meats and dairy products. When buying from abroad, as those who live in cooler climates must do, we will choose only farmers and companies who adhere to strict organic standards, because we support the idea of community on a global scale.

Best Restaurant in Kemptville
This is a wonderful restaurant with wonderful food that is local with a constantly changing menu. I've enjoyed their dinners, their sunday Rubber Boots Buffet and their lunches (before they stopped doing lunch - hopefully they will bring it back). Absolutely The Best.
We are very regular diners at the Branch, and consider it the top restaurant in Kemptville if not the Ottawa Valley. The owners committment to organic (and delicious) cooking combined with their sincere dedication to the community of Kemptville and surrounding areas places the branch at #1 on our preferred locations. Great Fresh Food!
I've been to their Sunday Rubber Boots buffet and found it to be an incredible value. Lots of fresh veggies, interesting combinations of herbs and spices. Everything tasted really fresh and they were forever topping up the salad and soup and bread etc. Highly recommended. Plus the building is very interesting. Reminds me of a French bistro. A Place To Watch!
The Branch is trying to be many things: good restaurant, art gallery, musical hot spot, community partner. For the most part, they are firing on all cylinders.
It's going to be interesting to see how far this takes them. Will this restaurant gain fame as the Black Sheep Inn of Kemptville? In their own way they're on that path.

I appreciate the quirky way they combine a passion for quality with down-to-earth sincerity. Including maintaining a cheap veggie menu entree right along with more expensive stuff.

Their special events are quite worthwhile. (I went to the beer tasting dinner, it was totally original and very worthwhile.) Check this place out, it's cool.    [07 Dec 2007 20:52:45]

A short drive from Ottawa we found the lovely town of Kemptville after strolling down main street we happened The Branch, upon entering we were imeditaley greeted with a big smile and a welcome from the restaurant staff, local muscians wereplaying and all patrons seemed right at home here. We ordered the risotos and Steak with a perfect bottle of wine. I must mention I enjoyed severl of the local micro brewed Beau's tractor Ale!
