Great Amazing service, very friendly, and rather prompt as well. Well priced food in very generous portions. All entrées are delicious! Nice German décor. [11 Apr 2003 14:28:38]

The Whole Family Loves It My brother-in-law who was stationed in Germany wanted somewhere he could get Jaeger schnitzel and spätzle and this place does both fantastically!
My daughter is a really picky eater and loves the chicken schnitzel and herbal potatoes (yes that's really what they're called). The food is well prepared and servings are generous. [27 Feb 2004 15:57:44]

German food that is prepared very much like the food in Germany. The servings are quite big.
It is a very small restaurant that is casual. It would be good for families. The restaurant is paint yellow and gold. Would be difficult for a wheelchair to get in and move about. [12 May 2004 18:42:57]

I have lived in Kingston my whole life (I'll be 30 in three months), and tonight I tried Amadeus for the first time. It was great. I had the chicken paprikash, and it was quite good. My friend had the cabbage rolls, and they were also great.
It's not "fine dining" but, the food is homemade and delicious, the service is excellent, and the atmosphere is cozy, relaxed and totally down-to-earth. In short, it's what we need a whole lot more of, in this day and age. [05 Jan 2007 22:49:08]

Worth a Trip to Kingston Just to Eat Here My wife and I routinely fly our plane into Kingston when the weather is good - just to get lunch at Amadeus. We always have the Junior Schnitzel with Caesar salad, rice and a side order of sauerkraut. They are simply the best schnitzel haus we have ever visited. [22 Apr 2007 18:20:11]

Almost as good as being there We had the "peasant feast", a big platter of a number of cuts of pork, sausages, potatoes, dumplings and spätzle. The quality of the food was very good and indeed reminds me of eating out in Germany. The peasant feast is a LARGE portion, we split it between two people and it worked out great.
Odds and ends: - The staff doesn't seem to speak German at all, though the chef does when he is in - A great place to go if you're just looking for a beer as well (great beers on tap that you can't find elsewhere in Kingston) - I found the menu online beforehand which was one of the reasons we decided to try it out [01 Jun 2008 22:03:52]
