An excellent cafe.
I visited the Shaw Cafe at several times. The service was very helpful and friendly. The food was very good. I think the Shaw Cafe is very recommendable.    [29 Sep 2003 17:05:19]

This place is okay. Outside seating is nice but overpriced and you have to wait a long time and service is not too good either, because of the crowds. And what is with most of the buildings starting to look the same on the outside? Shaw bar/cafe started it and it is tacky!    [14 Nov 2003 13:08:49]

Lovely Ambiance but Overpriced and Disappointing food
If you would like to sit in a lovely glassed-in area and watch the pedestrians stroll by outside as you sip wine or sit upstairs by a cozy fireplace in warm library/wine cellar type atmosphere...this is the place for you. Service is also friendly.

If you like generous portions of tasty food for a reasonable price...this restaurant is definitely not for you. If you must try this restaurant, don't order the Caesar salad with calamari ($16)...we thought they were joking when we were served romaine lettuce with croutons (dressing on the side as requested), and 5 rings (2 medium size and 3 small) of deep fried, dry and tasteless calamari.
