East Side Orangeville I am not sure who this should go to but here is hoping that you could forward this on to the correct department. My husband and I went to East Side Mario's in Orillia for the first time ever during the summer everything was fantastic, so when our son's 16th birthday came up we chose East Side Mario's as the restaurant that we would celebrate in. His birthday was Jan 10, and to surprise our son we decided to go to dinner the Saturday after Christmas.
We decided that seeing a new East Side Mario's had recently opened in Orangeville we would go there. I called there Saturday morning to make a reservation as there was to be 7 of us. I was told by the lady that answered the phone that they did not take reservations on the weekend but seeing we were not going to be there until 7:30pm that it would not be a problem the most we would have to wait would be 10 to 15 minutes. I repeated this to her a couple of times as I wanted to be sure that we would not have to wait to long.
We went to the movies and arrived at the East Side Mario's at 7:28 only to be informed that we would have to wait at least an hour. To say the least I was quite upset seeing I believe I had attempted earlier in the day to avoid such a problem from happening.
While we were there I witnessed one party of 4 and a party of 2 receive tables. They came in after us.
The Orangeville restaurant ruined what was suppose to be a happy event. The girls at the door were not very helpful. I never once lost my temper but I could have very easy.
Needless to say we left and went to another restaurant and I can honestly say that if this is how East Side Mario's wishes to do business I am not sure I wish to go back. It is a shame as we usually go out to dinner quite often and I had raved about East Side Mario's to everyone in our party. So if this is not important to the powers that be, my family of 4 will find another place to celebrate those special moments in our lives. [04 Nov 2004 20:52:40]
