Description
This small, 65 seat, family-run diner has a large wrap around porch (16-25 more seats) open in the spring, summer, and fall.
Easygoing homelike atmosphere. Open for breakfast from 5 am. and open through lunch till about 2 or 3. Specializing in breakfasts and diner lunch specials but a la carte available.
Almost everything is homemade (except bread and ice cream). Special orders are no problem.

Best Diner in Town.
Great homemade diner food. Best breakfast anywhere for the price. Special orders are never a problem. The owners are friendly and helpful and the service is great. Burger platters also rock. Prices are great and portions aren't stupidly huge. Breakfast in the summer on their wraparound porch is super. [09 Dec 2006 11:58:47]

Durn Near Best and Cheapest Breakfast
If you're looking for the perfect cheap breakfast, look no further than the Alfa. Standard greasy spoon fare, but the friendly, family-run service and home-made touches keep me coming back. Clientele mixed; colourful locals through to government workers. Interior decoration is sparse, but certainly cozy. Great for Breakfast and Lunch, Open Early
Not the Ritz but an excellent little diner featuring mostly homemade food.
Very reasonable prices; why pay 10 dollars elsewhere for a burger when you can eat at this friendly mom-and pop diner and dine on a homemade burger on a sesame seed bun with lettuce and tomato or whatever you want, a side of fries and 'slaw for just $4.50, on the patio in the warmer months? Or consider 2 poached (or however) eggs + home fries + brown, white, or rye toast with real butter plus your favorite breakfast protein (bacon, sausage, ham or beans) plus coffee or tea for 3.50 for breakfast.
For a dollar more you can have the Mushroom omelette which comes stuffed with mushrooms with a side of homefries plus toast. You'll be stuffed! And they don't rush you out.
They just redecorated and it is cozy if you go in; they are air conditioned in summer.
