Mmmmm.. Cove Room I'm sure they have other stuff, but everyone knows that you go to the Cove room for fried Lake Erie perch and salads. The various salads are brought by the bowlful to your table to be spooned out in large helpings! Their famous fresh hot celery bread is addictive. You will love the food. I have never actually noticed the surroundings, too busy eating great food! [16 Jan 2004 23:35:16]

Wow! The Best There Is Great food, best service and reasonable prices are an unbeatable combination. If you enjoy fish, then the Cove Room at the Erie Beach Hotel should be your destination. The superb meal will begin when they roll the salad cart to your table and don't forget to leave room for either a cup or bowl of homemade soup which in itself is unbelievable.
The celery bread is a taste sensation and when your choice of either their famous perch, pickerel or whitefish arrives, look out, you're in second heaven and trying very hard to leave room for one of their homemade desserts. I would highly recommend the Erie Beach's Cove Room in Port Dover to anybody who truly enjoys great dining. [05 Oct 2004 13:55:07]

Everything on the menu is stuffed with fat. Extremely unsophisticated food. One longs for a vegetable. The renowned celery bread is so dripping with butter it's nauseating. Will never eat there again. [30 Nov 2005 20:22:51]

Great Food. Was there last summer after being away a few years. Fresh water perch is still delicious, still love the buttery celery bread, . . . still don't love the mobile salad carts moving from table to table even with sneeze guards in place as we witnessed a few patrons using their own forks to help themselves.
