New Items on Menu Everyone gets happy when GT's opens. It's a sign that summer is almost here! Of course I usually rush out on the first weekend to check things out. This year, they've added a few NEW items on their menu including a Mexican Grill or something on that order. It comes with 2 breasts of chicken topped with salsa and two cheeses (very good)! You get loads of rice and a side of 'grilled veggies'. The dish on a whole is very tasty, but the side of veggies needs a little work. There are a few new dishes that come with the side of grilled veggies. I found them soggy and flavorless. I'm sure they pre-grill them earlier that day...so I would suggest grilling them for shorter time and add some seasonings.... then don't 'overheat' when serving them. The shrimp seems to have gotten bigger! I think...anyway those were really good too. I also like the idea of the beef on the stick! I must say...I like the new dishes but I miss some of the old ones from last year and the years before! What was wrong with the grilled chicken wrap served with grilled peppers and onions and salsa and sour cream? Loved that one...and the falafel sandwich? What about the ciabatas? and what in the heck happened to Mike Hard Lime? Bring back Chicken Wraps. Bring Back Chicken Wraps! [14 May 2005 17:40:57]

GT's is a sign that summer is almost near. Great beach atmosphere but disappointed that the menu has taken on a significant change. Gone is the middle eastern appetizer. To much greasy bar food and a limited amount of food choices at that. Also $10.00 plus for a salad if you add chicken. Please. You more than make up for the cost in your alcohol sales. I hope with the addition of the kitchen expansion it will lend itself to more "fresh" food choices to go along with a nice cold brew! [16 May 2005 13:27:42]

The girls and I went to GT's on the long weekend for a bite to eat. 3 of us ordered the Chicken Club Ciabatta because we saw the women in the next booth eating it too! They recommended it, so we gave it a try. It was a chicken breast with bacon, lettuce, tomato and mayo served on 'rustic' bread. (The bread made it!) It was awesome. The other girl at our table ordered the spicy chicken melt...she loved it. If you like spice, give it a try. It's made with chicken, spicy wing sauce, green onions and other stuff on an open face pita! Carol (the manager) and the rest of the staff are always friendly and professional. GT's is probably the most professionally run bar/restaurant in Port Stanley. Throughout the years they've been consistent about the way they run things. The staff seems to be well trained and ready to go for the May 24 rush and the doormen keep things running smoothly, weeding out the riff raff (especially at night). Great job to Carol and the rest of the staff, you're really making the little guy look good! [23 May 2005 13:04:55]
