THE BEST BRUNCH BUFFET! Seriously, if you're hungry and enjoy great food, go to the Wharf on a Sunday afternoon for their brunch buffet. I can't remember the exact price..I want to say..$12-$15. Some people may shy away from that, but it's well worth it. The spread is incredible: Several awesome salads, eggs benedict, made to order omelets, perogies, dessert (the pecan tarts are to DIE FOR) smoked salmon, fresh fruit...you name it. Dinner Buffet is $19.50 and includes all-you-can-eat Lake Erie perch, Roast Beef, chicken, ribs, potatoes, rice, sautéed veggies, salads and desert! The best thing about going to the Wharf (unlike a lot of places in town) is that they are CONSISTANTLY GOOD! You always know what you're going to get when you order it the next time. The service and the view are spectacular! The only criticism I have, is that the atmosphere is a tad blah...no specific theme, or entertainment at night. It's not a place to mingle at all. But if you're there simply to eat, then I give it a '10'. If I were to make a suggestion or two to improve the atmosphere, I’d put an L-shaped bar in the center made of beautiful wood (to break up the large space giving the feeling of intamacy) with some low lighting, include a handsome witty bartender. Throw on some good music jazz/blues or eclectic, and include a few ‘tapas’ items on the menu for those people wanting to come for a few drinks and to share a few appetizers. I think if music were playing people would feel that they were entitled to talk a bit louder and enjoy themselves. I find myself whispering in there because everyone else is. To end on a good note, my friends and I were there not too long ago and made the observation that the entire staff is calm, consistent, and professional. Having worked in the industry, we know there can be tension in the kitchen that can sometimes leak out into the dining room…. not at the Wharf! Things seem to run smoothly….if not, they sure make it seem like it is!
