Especially on Monday's Special All-you-can-eat fish and chips. It was such a tease that they offered all you can eat without providing a wait staff to attend to your table. Since the drink orders were taking long, we requested a jug of water from the busboy, which he promptly delivered, without glasses to drink from. We utilized the coffee cups that came on the pre-set table.
I would understand if the restaurant was hopping but there were only a handful of seniors finishing up their early meal. It took more than 40 minutes for our first helping of the advertized special, and my son was warned not to touch his plate ordered from the Childrens menu...it was blazing after sitting way too long under the heat lamps in the kitchen.

The plodding thump of the waitress would echo around the dining room we knew she was there but seemed to have forgotten us. Nothing like a tepid draft beer to get the appetite going.

We attempted to take them up on their offer of a second helping of fish...and after another 40 minutes we gave up, hunted down the waitress and got out of there fast as possible.    [14 Aug 2007 20:27:32]
