Fun Times in Mexico!!! I went to Acapulco Delight a few months ago for the first time with a group of friends after going out dancing for the night. I had never heard of it or seen it because I rarely go near Victoria street but I was pleasantly surprised!
It is a relatively small restaurant but it has a very friendly and fun environment and really cool mexican decorations all over. There are also Mexicans running the restaurant who are very friendly and inviting. We ordered nachos with everything, and I ordered one of many vegetarian friendly dishes (bean and cheese burritos). There were three burritos, and it came with rice on the side. It was very filling and very delicious. The nachos were really good with lotsof cheese, and when you first arrive they have complimentary nachos and home-made dip. It is certainly tangy and spicy with all that cilantro.
While we dined we listened to some people who were singing on the karoke machine. They were obviously intoxicated, and were very funny.
We stayed until around 3am, and left with a full stomach and smiles on our faces. Since then we have gone back several times and the bar tender knows us now. They know I am vegetarian and are always accomodating for any foods that I want. They also encourage karoke singing and we have tried it a couple of times. We always have fun. the latest we have stayed is 4am.
Its great service, very tasty food and a lot of fun. So go with your friends and enjoy a little taste of Mexico. [09 Jan 2004 13:38:37]
