The Good Pub
Hmmm, as far as quasi-authentic English pub food goes, the Charles Dickens is the place to go. Local Canadian fare like wings and quesadillas grace the menu for those not willing to attempt the bangers and mash or the steak and kidney pie. Reasonable rates, the greatest selection of on-tap imports and premiums I've ever seen and really good food. Dickens is the good pub.    [31 May 2003 02:07:27]

Authentic English Pub
Exellent English pub. Great service and very friendly staff. Good selection of impoted beers from England as well as domestic brands. Food menu has a range of home cooked English meals at a very reasonable price. Wings are great - go for the suicide!

Joan (owner) is always there to greet you. Clientele is friendly and always welcome people from out of town as well as regulars.

Great atmosphere, cozy and the entertainment on that particular night was very lively. Although I didn't eat more than a plate of loaded nachos late in the evening, I did find the service outstanding and devoured every last nacho.    [25 Nov 2003 09:51:26]
