Slow Service

Slow, Slow, Slow
Summerside Dairy Queen is the pits! Although the food is usually quite tasty (Blizzards), there is no consistency in the food; sometimes you get a lot, sometimes next to none, pay extra for something, and end up with less than last time when you didn't pay for extra. The service is extremely slow, and 1/2 the time the Drive Thru isn't opened! It's fast food, dish out the cash and fix the Drive Thru! Ugh, I have to give a thumbs-down to the S'side DQ as well. More than once I've had to wait for well over 5 minutes to have my order taken at the drive-thru (and both times there were only a couple of cars in the parking lot and noone else in the drive-thru). Recently their slushie machine was broken for a few days straight (may still be broken, I haven't been back since now that the dairy bars are open). I have to admit though, the cotton candy blizzard is pretty sweet. :D    [17 Jul 2003 17:00:35]

Very Slow Service
All I have to say is slow, slow, slow.

I could go to a dairy bar park my car at the furthest end of the parking lot drag the kids with me and wait in a line with 5 families ahead of me and still be serviced faster than if I were the only car in the Summerside DQ drive-thru. Suggestion -- pull cars ahead when waiting for an order and bring back the chicken quesadillas.    [25 May 2004 10:14:38]

Mixed Review
It all began on April 12th, 2008 when I was craving a Tin Roofie. When I arrived at my DQ destination, the employees acted very professional and we received excellent treats in no time at all. Compared to Charlottetown DQ, this place was heaven!! The only turnoff was the distasteful attitude towards the staff. However, my negativity was whisked by the sunny disposition and NEAT appearance of every employee, with one exception- a blonde woman with no hat in sight! I shudder to imagine the hairs that have settled on some poor soul's triple chocolate utopia, from this one careless individual, ironically called the "manager". On the bright side, I noticed the cleanliness of the establishment. It was cleaner than soap on a rope!! Also, the employees demonstrated diligence and speed, without wasting a second. All in all, April 12th, 2008 turned out to be a swell day indeed, thanks to my rewarding decision to go to Summerside Dairy Queen!    [18 Apr 2008 23:04:49]
