Ambrosia, Aylmer
We had lasagna and linguini with salmon. The restaurant makes it own pasta. Price are affordable, dessert slighty expensive however very tasty. Wide selection great average... $35 + / litre. We went on a Wednesday, no reservation was required, however weekend would probably be different, a terrasse is available. [18 Aug 2006 19:56:49]

Outstanding Dining Experience This restaurant delivers an absolutely outstanding dining experience. From the homemade pastas, made fresh daily on-site through to Giuseppe's grandmother's tiramisu (family recipe - superbly handled in the restaurant) the food is truly exceptional. On-site somelier, Giuseppe is knowledgeable and has a great selection on hand. A little advance notice and your favorite bottle can be on hand, I am told. Jean-Francois is dedicated and meticulous in overseeing details while Dan is cooking in the kitchen. Just like in Italy, service is not rushed so that you can have time to enjoy. Parking is not a problem, in the back or on the street (and it is free). Have gone 7 times so far and am coming back for more! [19 Aug 2006 21:03:17]

I dined twice at this restaurant. The first time was in the evening with my wife, we both had the menu of the day, I had fish and she had veal, both were great. I then decided to bring my mother for lunch, this visit convinced me to come back regularly. Once again, we both had the day's menu (soup and pasta, both excellent) but what needs to be pointed out was the service. Even though it was a busy lunch (it was Friday) our server, a young redheaded lady, exhuded such warmth and professionalism, our service was much more personal and sincere than my last visit. She was very knowledgeable about wine and ingredients, and also told us that one of the owners was an accomplished sommelier. Great prices, authentic cuisine. [29 Sep 2006 10:08:47]

WOWOW!! Can't say enough about this place. Been there three times now and I've tried a different menu selection each time. Absolutely amazing. It's hard to believe this restaurant is in Aylmer. I've lived in Aylmer just under three years now and have complained that there's no place I'd want to go back to again to eat. Well I'll be going back to Ambrosia many times.
The food is incredible, the service, Giuseppe's unique personality adds so much too.
Can't wait to dine again! [23 Jan 2007 21:47:51]

The food is great, the restaurant is clean, the ambiance is warm, the prices are affordable and the people serve you with their heart and help you make the best choice. [06 Jul 2007 20:31:53]

By far, the best dining in Aylmer I have eaten at Ambrosia on a few occasions and have always left contently full and satisfied. I have to say it is a refreshing change to see this type of quality and affordability in Aylmer. For those who live in Aylmer, it is a great place to eat and not have to travel too far. For those who live in the region, it is a place worth travelling too. I really enjoyed the Spaghetti Ambrosia; homemade pasta, topped with prosciutto, roasted red peppers, goat cheese and spinach. The presentation and rich flavour make this dish a must have again. Cheers, keep up the good work. [24 Aug 2007 11:35:05]
