Great beer and wine!
A pretty pub type place located in a heritage home. They only serve light fare but it is all tasty and served up with great care by the friendly staff. They have amazing wine and beer lists and that is definately the best reason to go. The only problem was the very small and ineffective non-smoking section, other than that it was a lovely experience and we would certainly go again.    [03 Jul 2003 09:58:44]

A nice pub? In Aylmer?
As a longtime Aylmer resident, I found L'Autre Oeil to have a Twilight Zone feeling. Here in the land of beer & baseball is hidden a fantastic little pub in a heritage home on Aylmer's main street.

The food selection is small but carefully prepared -- the focus is on the wonderful array of interesting beers and ciders on hand.

The presentation is very good, and the service is impeccable. (No, I mean it -- they're not just polite, they're actually _gracious_.)

My only complaint is the smoke inside. The non-smoking section is pretty much a token.

A personal favorite is their version of a Crown Float, which they call a B-55, and if you're not faint of heart, they have some very interesting microbrews on hand.    [17 Aug 2004 00:13:42]
