Two Restaurants in One This two storey restaurant serves up two very different dining experiences.
On the lower floor you will find casual dining served in a relaxed atmosphere. The food was simple but good and the service friendly.
Upstairs is a much more refined setting. You'll be greeted by smartly dressed waiters and formal table settings. In the winter the atmosphere can be quite cozy with a fire burning in the grate. The food here was delicious and again the staff was very friendly.
So whatever your dining pleasure, casual or formal, you will not be disappointed. [12 Aug 2004 14:04:16]

Best Patio in Aylmer, maybe even in the whole area This is a nice Italian restaurant in a converted heritage house. They have three eating areas, a downstairs relaxed part, an upstairs fancier part, and a huge and lovely outdoor patio with a waterfall and fireplace. The food is good, the service is sometimes a bit slow, but always friendly and the lunch price is great. There is no better place to be in Aylmer on a warm summer afternoon. [24 Aug 2004 16:45:44]

Bad service / worse cheesecake Créno and Bifstro Marin don't open till 5pm(!) on a beautiful Sunday afternoon with the Auto Show going on at the beach.
We settle for Rendez-Vous which we hadn't visited for a year.
1/ Nobody bothers to come seat us (one waitress/hostess for the entire terrace, it seemed) 2/ No water with my espresso (a bad espresso it was) and I had to ask the waitress to bring me sugar 3/ Disgusting cheesecake swimming in some sort of juice from the equally disgusting strawberry mess that was ladled on the cake. I ask the waitress to take it back. She gives me a hard time 'you ordered it'. I tell her I never ordered this monstrosity 'terrible presentation...' 4/ Never saw our waitress again, we practically had to beg for the bill. If I was paying, I'd leave a big round goose egg for a tip, but since my girlfriend paid, I basically had to beg her to leave no more than 10% tip. 5/ Bacon on the floor under our table (vestige of breakfast hours ago!!!) 6/ Never stepping there again.
