The goat cheese appetizer is to die for. Love the inhouse smoked salmon. The solarium is gorgeous with a great view of falls and gorge. [22 Sep 2006 23:16:59]

Good and bad Nice touches -- bruschetta (sort of gazpacho flavours) amuse bouche, pineapply amaretto shooter thing between courses; appetizers (goat cheese; asparagus gruyere pastry) and mains (rabbit; veal chop) nice, if perhaps a ton overdone.
BUT we were seated at an AWFUL table -- I looked right on to the swinging doors to the kitchen six feet away. We were inn guests, and had reserved two weeks in advance.
And service was appallingly slow -- 35 mins from when apps were cleared until mains served, and the plates from the mains sat on our table for another 20-25 mins. The doors (bonk, bonk-bonk, bonk-bonk...) might not have gotten to me if I hadn't had so much time to stare at them. [19 Nov 2006 21:05:27]

Nice location but bad food and slow service Lovely location and the staff did try very hard to accommodate, but I also found the service was appallingly slow. It was a Saturday night but they should have known that it would be busy! It took us THREE HOURS to get through a three course meal! Crazy! And, the food was pretty bad! We sent back my husband's main course, without great hopes the replacement would be any better, and it wasn't. Truly disappointing, especially for the price we paid. The next morning's brunch was much better, but my complaint there is that there was too much food and it was impossible to try everything. So if you go, avoid the dinner and go to breakfast with an empty stomach! [20 Feb 2007 16:16:54]
