Top quality
If you like fine dining in the most unexpected location, then go to Amigos. It has a real hippie-esque feel. Every item on the menu is outstanding. I personally love the caesar salad. The serving staff is hip and great. Live music a few nights a week. Tasteful and wonderful. Highly recommend. [20 Jan 2005 23:35:37]

Just The Best.
Don't even think of going anywhere else for Mexican food. Amigo's is the best! The only thing that drives me batty is that they sometimes go a little extreme & charge you extra for every little thing - for example, if you need extra salsa. Other than that, it truly is the best food in town for Mexican. [03 Aug 2006 14:14:53]

very tasty, but the menu hasn't changed much
The chicken quesadilla with mole and creamy jalapeno sauce is excellent. if you like this but want to try some new dishes try las palapas on victoria just a block down from homestead ice cream... it's fabulous. try the big burrito or the pulled pork sandwich. very flavorful and delicious and my favorite part is the sweet potato fries! can be kind of noisy in both places so don't be surprised by it. i had one bad experience with service at amigos, the waitress was very rude and seemed inconvenienced by the fact that we didn't all show up at the same time. it went down hill from there, but other times had no problem.
