Blechhh! I have given Athena's numerous chances (like 10) to serve good food, but I have yet to enjoy a meal there. The service is okay, and their prices are not bad, but isn't it all about the food in the end?    [20 Apr 2004 21:43:24]

Staff has no clue and is not helpful
I recently called Athena to ask if they still have "Heart Smart" items on their menu. I hadn't been there in a while and remember they had a "Heart Smart" menu. Also, the 2004/2005 phone book has them listed as "Heart Smart." The person had no clue what "Heart Smart" was. I asked if there are any low calorie menu items and explained that we just had a relative undergo heart surgery. He said that he would have to take a look at the menu. He came back to the phone and said that he had no clue and that he believed that they did not serve low calorie food. I thought that maybe I just got someone who just started and asked him to fax me a copy of their menu. He said he was unsure as to whether they have a fax on their premise. I gave up and told him that they had false advertising. We went to a different restaurant that knew what they were selling.

Great Food, Big Portions.
I have been eating at the Athena for years and have never had a bad meal that I can remember. I prefer the service and atmosphere in the lounge though. The dry ribs and caesar meal is one of my favorites. I love the burgers, wings, soups, and anything on the appetizer menu (particularly the breaded mushrooms). Very Friendly
I don't know what these other people are on about, but I was recently there and they really went out of their way to accomodate us. The food was also terrific, I had a nice salmon meal on a creamy dill sauce and my husband had a steak filet and they were both melt-in-your-mouth delicious. There were 14 of us and the worst thing that happened was the waitress forgot about my aunt's drink and quickly brought it out when she saw that.    [29 Oct 2006 15:21:22]

Gone Down Hill
I used to have them deliver ribs and lasagna. Recently, the Greek ribs have become greasy and dry, leaving a bad taste. The pasta has NO taste at all. And the prices have greatly increased.

This restaurant is OFF my list.
