So bad we left before the meal came
I am not sure if it was the musty smell, the dirty cutlery, the film floating on my glass or Pepsi, or the dirty tea cup that made us tell the waitress that we were going to leave before we had a chance to order but it was all gross.

The restaurant looked uncared for and was just dirty when we were there and for the brief time that we were there, the staff looked like they wanted out too.    [12 Sep 2003 16:29:31]

I Liked It
It's possible to go to a restaraunt at a different time and have it feel completely different than it would have several days or hours earlier. I think this is the case with the previous review and mine.

I liked the food. Our waitress was very nice and cheerful. The Cave-like atmosphere is great, if that's what you're looking for.    [16 Sep 2003 23:28:55]

Great Place!
I think this is a great place. The atmosphere is pretty nifty. I have been here 3 times and have not had a bad experience once. If you are looking for a nice place to eat with good food, reasonable prices and exceptional service, dont pass this up.    [07 Sep 2005 19:04:11]

Over Priced
My family enjoys the Cave for large gatherings because they have very private areas for larger groups. I, however, am not a fan of the overly dark, dingy atmosphere. The food is only alright, not even as good as the generic chain 'Greek' restaurants all over town, but charging a much higher price. I just don't think it is worth it.    [12 Mar 2006 18:43:08]

Horrible Ambiance
We were there for a 25th anniversary celebration and had to listen to a woman scream at the kitchen staff for 5 minutes. The food was mediocre and the place was dirty. Never again.    [30 Jan 2007 10:44:23]

Love It!
I have visited The Cave for the past 31 years and have NEVER been disappointed! Over that time, the owners are the same, and two of the original cooks are the same! The food is great and consistent! The service is, on MOST occassions, exemplary. I LOVE the place!    [17 May 2007 20:15:40]
