Great coffee shop
Nice easy chairs, "Trivia Pursuit" cards on each table, good coffee and one of the best Caesar Salads in town. It is a coffee shop first but they serve some pretty good wraps, soups, and salads as well.    [16 Sep 2003 18:56:09]

It's all about the Caesar Salad
This is a great coffee shop. It is cozy and I have always had good service. Recently I had the Caesar salad and it was great! It doesn't have a really full menu but what they make is really good. My friend and I went out for coffee tonight and had the worst service we had ever had. After sitting down in the torn and dirty wing chairs, we had to wait for almost ten minutes before the server even brought us a menu. we excused that to maybe the server not seeing us because she was too busy talking to the other server about what her plans were going to be for the evening. However, after an additional 25 minutes of waiting for our server to take our order because she was too busy discussing her social life, we just decided to leave. What angered us more than anything was the fact that we were willing to wait for that long just waiting to order two lattes and a piece of cheesecake! We have experienced bad service their before, but never as bad as tonight. I have been there for lunch on several occasions and while I find the decor could use some "retouching" and a thorough cleaning, the service seems to be better during the day. While sometimes inconsistent, the restaurant usually serves very good homeade soup and Caesar salad.    [09 Oct 2003 02:51:04]

Showing some age
The Living Room has been around forever on Broadway and has changed ownership a couple of times. It has a great caesar salad and depending on the day, some wonderful home made soups. The coffee is a rather generic medium roast but is fresh.

The place does need some money put back into the decor as it does have some nicks and bruises on the walls and furniture and like the other reviewers said, the chairs really need to be professionally cleaned or replaced.    [13 Dec 2006 13:27:20]
