Delicious Food With a Delicious Service I was in Yukon and Alaska for about 3 weeks this August. I ate in many restaurants , from Anchorage to Inuvik and Tok to Dutch Harbor.
The most I enjoyed in Whitehorse at the Klondike Salmon and Rib. The food was excellent and the service was personal, super friendly, quick and always with a real smile, no fake.
Everything down to earth with excellent quality. My personal favorite dishes were the deep-fried breaded prawns and the fish and chips, while my bother loved all the chowders. Great atmosphere. We didn't mind to wait sometimes for about half an hour in a row of 20 people. A compliment for Donna and her staff. [28 Aug 2004 20:09:03]

One Of My Five Best Ever This is one of the top five restaurants in which I have eaten in US, Canada, Mexico, South America and Europe. They barbueque items that most of us wouldn't think of BBQ'ing, make it taste unique and delicious (such as Prime Rib), then add great fun to the mix. We laughed between each bite. Damn Good Ribs I am from the South and have had my fair share of ribs and barbeque. Who would have ever guessed that I would have to go to the Yukon to find the best ribs on Earth! They were amazing, and that is saying a lot from someone who has had barbeque from all over the world. The atmosphere was great too. It felt very cozy and relaxed. The service was not the best I have ever had though. We were a small party of 2 and she was also working with a party of 6, so mabye she figured she would get more of a tip with them, who knows! The ribs most definitely made up for it though! I highly reccomend this place for anyone. [03 Aug 2006 00:24:26]

Yumm. Very popular place! Best known for their food, with a casual dining area that is full of things to look at. Random chairs and tables, plastic (but tasteful) tablecloths, a few tables outdoors, and rustic decor.
Looking for halibut fish n chips? Theirs are to DIE for! Not overly greasy, the fish is juicy, and as big across as my hand, and just as thick. A bit pricy, but very worth it. I also recommend the Wild Game stroganoff on garlic mashed potatoes. Hands down one of the best dishes I've ever eaten, and that is saying a lot, I'm a bit of a foodie..... Tender chunks of meat in an almost soup like mushroom and brandy sauce, served on a pile of perfect garlicky hand mashed potatoes. [01 May 2008 23:10:01]
