This restaurant really is Paphos's best kept secret, from the food to the fine wines this really is the best night you could have.

Metaxas - Come Back Tex, We Miss You
Sorry but I didn't find the new owner very helpful when I had a complaint about a dish. I ordered monkfish as it's my favourite, but what arrived on my plate was definitely not monkfish. The texture of the fish was more like cod and when I pointed this out to the owner he told me I was wrong. In fact he was quite dismissive. Whilst the food was well cooked and presented I won't be going back because of this guy's attitude. It's not the same since Tex left.    [17 Nov 2005 13:56:48]

We had to wait 3 hours for our main course and when it did finally arrive it was total rubbish. The waiter offered us 2 free rounds of drinks then put them on the bill and would not take them off. When we refused to pay for the drinks he called the police. We ended up having to pay the bill. Is this how you carry on? Dear customers and friends, I can not say enough 'thank you's' for all of your non-stop good comments and saying such good things about Metaxas restaurant.

As much as I am trying to be the best and best I can serve and create good fresh food for you to be 100% perfect, but as most of you know me so well what ever I do I can never satisfy what I do and I need to be better.

As most of you know we have a comment book at the restaurant outdoors as well, and some times some people say we are not good, slow service and that didn't like anything we made for them. Well I am so sorry to see that comments about us. We never wish to have any one leave this restaurant not happy but again we are a human as well we do some mistakes and we are very sorry about that. I am sure every mistake we did won't happen again, and some times some customers I think are not appreciative for fresh and by order food. As we have some comments that we are slow, first of all we are not a fast food restaurant or ready made frozen food restaurant. Fresh food takes time to cook. Great food cooked with passion! If we extremely busy that night, there is no way can I make any order in 10 minutes or less; it will take time.

Thank you so much to those who spent time to make a bad comment about us in our restaurant comment book, it does help us to be better and learn from our mistakes.
