Always fabulous
I lived in Maadi for 2 years, and returned this last summer for a few months. Nothing is better than Abu Shakra on warm summer night! Yes, the food stays with you for many hours after, but the kofta can't be beat. We always enjoyed it delivered to home. [01 Jul 2005 20:03:27]

Love this place!!
They're located all over Egypt, and I think the one in Maadi is only open for home delivery [No, you can eat there too! Ed.] . Nothing beats this kofta and the grilled chicken falls off the bone. [09 Aug 2006 11:57:32]

Great for a quick lunch/takeout
Reasonably quick and quiet for a weekday lunch. Our table tried the grilled chicken (excellent), shish tawook sandwich combo, hommus and a soup, which were all very nice and reasonably priced. Only criticism was the fries in the combo...not enough of them (so we ordered an extra plate!) [04 Dec 2006 01:58:57]
