Oversold This restaurant thrives on the notion that garlic is very exotic to Finns. It therefore will try any improbable combination of garlic just for the heck of it. Gastronomically irrelevant and as expensive as the rest of the ”trendy” restaurants in Helsinki. [10 May 2000 04:33:17]

Delightful restaurant One of the first restaurants in Helsinki I had the pleasure to eat in. It was a pleasure, especially in the evening. Service is attentive without over intrusiveness. Waiters knew the menu and described any thing that was not clear. The digestive at the end of the meal (complimentary) is delicious! Be adventurous - try the garlic beer. [25 Sep 2001 07:41:14]

Worth the trip! I traveled from Minneapolis, MN USA to visit family in Helsinki and the one restaurant they said we had to visit was Kynsilaukka Garlic! And, they were rigt! I've traveled extensively and have eaten at many fine (including 4—5 star) restaurants as well as have some culinary training myself and I thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience. I'll definitely eat there again! And, for someone who doesn’t enjoy ”beer”, their garlic beer was quite refreshing! [05 Nov 2005 10:57:08]
