Description
One of the 'Copper Chimney' chain of restaurants. Medium size restaurant with full bar. Large groups can be seated. Moderately expensive in terms of costs. The ambience is nice. Specializes in North Indian and Mughlai food.

Wait, wait till the chimney starts emitting smoke! A hunky guard might greet you at the entrance and the inside might look like a medieval bungalow but that doesn't guarantee good enough service.
The restaurant can be described in just one phrase - "Service Sucks". We went there in a group of 14; were paid the least attention to and had to wait more than we could tolerate. Probably it was a ploy to make us more hungry so that we could eat so called food there just out of hunger :-)
Though the food isn't so bad but the poor service and long long waits after each order and between each of the courses made sure that none of us was ever going to land up on the chimney again.
A bit on the expensive side. Ambiance is ok but the overall impression is definitely marred by poor service.
Recommended only if you are on a time killing spree. If you ever land up there, Afghani/Kabuli Naan is a must try. Very different. [08 May 2002 10:05:40]

Suburban Restaurant The real Copper Chimney can be experienced only in their authentic branches of Worli, Bandra etc. I don't think this one is registered as part of that brand. The food is exquisite, the service impeccable. The butter chicken, fish rahra, reshmi kabab, all are unbelievable dishes that are worth every penny. I would greatly recommend going to this place for an phenomenal Indian meal. [09 Dec 2005 14:19:13]

Treated Like Royalty We arrived after two weeks of mission work among impoverished people in south India, and walking into the Copper Chimney was like a different world. The maitre d' sat our group of six at the best table in the house (near the windows where we could watch the food being prepared). Later, a group of what appeared to be prominent Indian businessmen arrived and were obviously disappointed to have to take the "second best" table in the house. The wine was a great pleasure after two weeks of none, and the food was excellent, portions were huge. We were waited on intently by a crew of three. [24 Jul 2007 09:06:21]
