A wonderful place to stay
Markree Castle was by far the most impressive hotel I stayed at on my recent trip to Ireland. The staff were warm and friendly, and they were so good to my kids - organising a baby-sitter at short notice so my wife and I could enjoy a quiet meal in the magnificant dining room. It was so relaxed and informal (for example, no one minded when we arrived back wet and muddy from a long walk in the beautiful grounds) yet maintained the standards that one would expect from a top class hotel. It was everything I wanted for my stay in Ireland and more. I would recommend it to anyone, especially those with young families looking for some where to get away from it all.    [19 May 2004 05:02:29]
