Description
A nice restaurant in the middle of Florence, near the Bargello. The price is about $20-25 each. They serve very particular Italian food. The characteristic plate is "five kinds of pasta" selected daily by the chef. They also serve vegetables and a special Fiorentina steak called the "tagliata nella focaccia." It's frequented by many famous Italian actors and singers.

A particular restaurant in the heart of Florence A long list of wines, good steak, and a great selection of pasta dishes. [10 Mar 2000 08:15:54]

Unable to get a reservation our 1st night Found this charming Tuscan restaurant about 2 blocks from the Duomo. There were no reservations available our 1st evening in Florence.
We sat next to a couple that had eaten here the night before they loved it so much they came back a 2nd night. After they left the next couple told us they eat here every time they are in Florence.
Typical Tuscan cuisine. XLNT grilled items, wonderful rich funghi sauces, great selection of pastas and a hearty pasta with fagioli.
Not intimate (tables right next 2 each other) but warm eclectic atmosphere.
Service was XLNT and the cost for even the best Chianti even better than a good Napa wine. Definitely worth a second trip. [06 Sep 2000 13:29:55]
