This trattoria serves outstandingly prepared dishes in the classic and traditional Tuscan way.
I started eating in this "local" trattoria many years ago and when it was under the original ownership.
Fast forward 20 years and we found ourselves back in Florence and it was time for dinner. We retuned to il Profeta and found it was under new ownership (for over ten years) but never missed a step. When I told the staff that I used to eat there very often, they was so happy and very friendly that I felt that the original owners were still there.
We were brought an antipasto tray and selected almost everything on it. Wonderful! Pastas were delicious and when we were finished the owners presented us with a bottle of the olive oil they were serving and insisted that we honor them by having a glass of their homemade Lemocello with them.    []
