Located in the suburbs of Florence, this pizzeria is well-known among locals as serving the best pizza in Tuscany. Most noted is the Margherita DOC pizza with buffalo mozzarella. This is made with buffalo mozzarella cheese brought daily from the Campania region of Italy. The water used to make the dough is brought from Naples. The attention to detail when making pizza is unmatched and a well respected attribute of this establishment. Other notable dishes include squid ink rice and Florentine cannelloni. Dishes are made to order as nothing is pre-cooked. Prices are moderate and the dress is casual. Reservations are a must during the dinner hours.

The Best Pizza in Florence
Every dish will satisfy at this restaurant, however I am particularly stuck on the Margherita DOC pizza. Just the best around. The atmosphere is fun, loud, and...very local. Certainly as important to take in as historic and cultural tour of the rest of Florence.    [18 Jun 2006 02:58:18]
