My wife, myself and our 2 year old daughter visited this restaurant in June 2004. On both occassions the staff were extremely helpful and friendly.
The structure has been totally refubished to a very high standard. It has its own car park and excellent views across the valley.
The menu for all courses is split into fish and meat, with well-known dishes as well as some the chef has created using nothing but the finest and freshest produce. The menu is in Italian only, but the waiter had excellent English and was invaluable in explaining the very varied menu. Local Montecarlo wine was excellent, and overall we could not find fault with any aspect of our visit.
The food is of high class and typical of Tuscany, presented as you would expect in a high class expensive English establishment. The chef was happy to mingle with guests, and we have nothing but praise for him and his staff in the kitchen, who could all be seen working away through the glass front to the kitchen "Gordon Ramsey" style.    [27 Jun 2004 06:13:39]

disappointment
We used to come to Forassiepi when Chef Valdo Verreschi owned it. We miss him.
That was the best food we ever had in Italy, traditional Tuscan dishes with a modern flair. Excellent.
Now it is food you can have anywhere, not even well prepared. Also the atmosphere and interior design are heavy: WE WILL NEVER GO BACK TO FORASSIEPI.    [29 Jun 2007 11:23:02]
