Description

In the historical center of Pisa, in a pretty old building, a self service restaurant with a non formal atmosphere. Fresh fish, salads and nudels. Every day a new fresh saison menu and every day a big vegan dish.

Great food and low prices
Numero Undici is a great respite from tourist-dominated over-priced formal restaurants. It's popular with students because it offers excellent local food (fish, meat, and vegetarian) in a family-style seating arrangement. The folks who run are friendly and helpful even if you don't speak Italian. It has a self-help model: you order at the counter, get placemats and silverware and find a seat. When the food is ready they let you know and you pick it up. The food is great, the prices low, and everyone there is enjoying themselves.    [25 Oct 2006 08:26:43]
