Description

The Ume no Hana resturants specialize in tofu cuisine and offer a variety of multi-course sets ranging from 3,000 yen upwards. The chefs will gladly oblige vegetarian requests. A meal for two generally runs about 10,000yen+ or about 100 USD and includes several small dishes, soups, teas and desserts. This particular OCAT restaurant is more dressy casual, but the same resturant located in North Osaka is more formal. Private tatami rooms are available for reservation for small or large parties.

This restaurant is worth going. They can create tofu dishes with many varieties, from steamed tofu to tofu ice-cream. The texture of the tofu is very fine and it melts in your mouth. The service is excellent! No need to worry about that. I have been to Kanazawa, Osaka (Umeda) and Kyoto. The one I liked most is Ume No Hana at Kyoto. The ambiance was spectacular (private room) where you can enjoy a nice little garden while eating.    [29 Oct 2007 22:56:30]
