Slightly disappointed As a Belgian national I must of course visit bars that call themselves Belgian.
Hoegaarden is on tap here, as in many places around Tokyo (and not just Belgian bars). I wanted to eat something Belgian as well, so I chose the mussels prepared with white wine. Bit of a disappointment that was: the mussels were completely cold by the time they finally arrived, the shells were close to 10 cm long and didn’t taste very good, the portion was small (about 1 kilo, but with that size shells there is not much left to eat).
Behind the bar only Japanese, while I was hoping for chat in a language that I can call my own … I won’t return for the food, and the beer I can get elsewhere too so I don't see myself returning here very soon. [12 May 2004 14:41:22]

Overpriced Don't understand the appeal of this place. Food ain't great, the beer is all the same expensive price and the staff are nothing special. Atmosphere is cramped and you feel like you are sitting in a storage room underneath the stairs in a dirty old house. [10 Feb 2009 01:41:16]
